Release day: what you should actually check before publishing
Release day should not be the first moment you check whether everything is ready. The most important work happens before the song goes live.
Audio files
Section titled “Audio files”Check that the master is the correct version, the beginning and ending are clean, and there are no clicks, wrong fades, or accidental export mistakes. Listen from start to finish.
Metadata
Section titled “Metadata”Confirm the artist name, song title, featured artists, producer credits, writer credits, ISRC, release date, and artwork. Small mistakes can create long cleanup work later.
Platforms and links
Section titled “Platforms and links”Make sure your distributor has delivered the release correctly and that pre-save or smart links point to the right place. If you use a landing page, check it on mobile.
Content and message
Section titled “Content and message”Prepare the first posts, story assets, short captions, and any ad material before the day begins. Do not rely on improvising everything after the release is already live.
The main rule
Section titled “The main rule”Release day is for publishing and reacting, not for building the entire campaign from zero.
